I've been thinking about the best way to approach the next step for
Universal Ambisonic.
My current preferred audio environment is SuperCollider, so I thought
I would attempt to do a 'Universal Ambisonic' compliant implementation
in SuperCollider ... I'm thinking just to implement an encoder that
has Doppler effect and air attenuation built in.
The interesting about thing about doing this, is that to be "Universal
Ambisonic Compliant" ... I have to implement all possible component
combinations (up to 4th order full-peri, and 5fth hori). I'm
interested to see how "painful" this is going to be.

I think it would be the decoder. The *best* decoder available, and
cross-platform.
Ofcourse, it would be in everyone's interest to not restrict the
world's best 'ambisonic decoder' to Universal Ambisonic ... better to
implement N3D support as well ... and any other established formats.
Can we discuss this?
Following the decoder, I'd hazard a guess that it would be a file format.
