The BCSS Vancouver/Richmond Branch invites families to attend a presentation on

                                How Police Help

                        people with serious mental illnesses

 speakers: Sheila Scotten, from emergency mental health services, and Sgt. Bill Pake will explain the emergency services provided to families from Car 87. Sgt. Pake will also speak more generally about how police deal with people with serious mental illnesses. There will be time for questions and answers.

 Tuesday, Feb. 5

7 - 9 pm

at Coast Mental Health Foundation

295 E. 11th

Parking is available at the rear of the building.

 

Please note: We plan to provide translation services for this event  in Cantonese, Mandarin, Punjabi, and Spanish. Please contact Jessica Smits Regional Coordinator (604) 247-1884 if you require these services.

 The presentation will be followed by refreshments which will give families involved in various support and education groups a chance to meet and speak with each other.
