The next Chinese Support Group Members' meeting will be held on October 20^th, 2007, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

This time we have invited two practising Pharmacists from Ackroyd Pharmacy to give a presentation on “Flu and its prevention” in Cantonese; then there’ll be about an hour’s time for questions and answers, including medication and related consultation, Pharmacare system and information, or any topics relating to your health, medication, etc.  

 

There will be child minding services from 11 a.m. onwards, you can bring your children along to the meeting and some trained professional childminders and volunteer will be available to play with them.

   谢谢您的帮助，我家是网络电话，因为网络和计算机的问题经常上不了网，网断了就没办法用电话了，11月份房东外出了2周，所以没有及时给您回电话，cbi的chung先生已经跟我联系了，我们大概要排队到 2月份左右。12月4日，12月12日，12月17日我们还要去sunny hill ，17日出报告。
我很想知道在温哥华有没有感觉统合训练，我儿子的运动能力并不是很好，在国内基本上每天都要有1~3个小时大运动训练，我的感觉这种训练非常有效，我儿子的手部力量不够，以前无法握笔写字，拿勺子吃饭，后来经过运动训练就能够握笔和拿勺子了。所以我想知道温哥华这里有没有相关的信息资料 。

For the question you asked to Hugo about the training service for your son, I think you should try to contact with an occupational therapist, and the service may be called as "sensor intergration". Here is one I found from Hugo's Autism Training Society BC website:

我感觉这边不太讲感统训练, 可能是这边的专家觉得它的理论基础不够, 或没场地, 或太残酷, 好象大部分孩子用教育训练就够了.

 

陈先生说的这个OT(occupational therapist) 是个收费的OT, 不知除了付Behavior Consultant 和BI 训练费还能剩多少钱来找OT, 一周一次的强度够吗? 建议在政府的机构也排个队, 象什么CFA (Center for ability) 或 Fraser Health, 如果你的孩子真是需要, 他们能提供每周一次或两次的免费治疗, 除了OT 还有Physio 也可能得到.
