Dear Editor,
What you have highlighted in above article about Ganesh Festival is not really what the fest is about.
Ganesha represents Intellect in Hindu culture and is one of the most respected deities for millions of Hindu devotees all over the world.
what you are telling your readers through this is very misleading - in the sense that THIS IS NOT WHAT GANESH FEST IS ABOUT.
This festival was started as a public fest by Bal Gangadhar Tilak who looked at it as a way to mobilise Indian society against oppressive British regime.
Today the fest is deep rooted in Indian Society.
I can not comment on whether it is an opportunity for Gay community or not...but surely it is not a gay fest - as this article seems to convey.
And that Ganesha is a symbol of removal obstacles is also a news to me; so is the fact that pink color (it is called Gulal [g-oo-laal]) is used here for Gays!!!
This article is totally misleading and I request you to remove this piece immediately.

Hope you will respect the feelings of Hindus.
