Intellect is one of the important gifts for the human being. As it is very important so it should be utilized very effectively and efficiently. Most of the time it is found that we use our intellectual energy for unnecessary and useless activities like teasing others, disturbing others, for impressing others, for playing dirty things in so many such way which are self damaging and socially disturbing. What I think PRACTICE MAKES MAN PERMANENT BUT NOT PERFECT. Practice of using in wrong way will make permanently wrong user of Intellect.

 

Many a times I hear dissections like what is wrong in using our intellect for only goodness of me. If we take over view of this statement it appears correct but not right. Use of intellect for the betterment of self, very good but what is important that while doing so whether we are disturbing others if it is so then there is a hidden danger to you also. So use your intellect for betterment of you but that process should not be damaging for others.

 

As you all know where there is a start there is the end to it also. Creation and destruction are going on at every time and at every where. Same is true for our life. There is full stop for it at one point and at one place. Even though it is possible to become immortal. It is possible with help of our intellect. All the time we become part of the problems . In stead of getting away with the problem if we can become part of the solution for the problem then it adds new life in our existence and not only existence but also post existence. If we use our Intellect for the enhancements of the standard of our society, for inventions and discoveries, for creations and welfare of all mankind. It really institutes you for ever long.

 

What I feel the problem of India is neither economical nor political but it is intellectual and ideological. IT is conman picture that the intellectuals of the society are mostly engaged in the selfish and self centered motives. Under and limited utilization of intellect of such intellectual class neither enhance their capacity nor the Indian potential. Intellectual leadership or the creative minority are now slaves of money, fame and luxuries. One creative and intelligent leader with nationalistic attitude can change the picture of society. Swami Vivekannada, Maharshi Arvinda,Mahatma Gandhi, Dr Hedgewar Dr V Kurian, Dr Swaminathan, Dr Abay Bang,Dr Sam Pitruda,Dr APJ Kalam, Dr Mashelkar, Shri Rajendra sing, and so many, there is a great legacy of the same.

 

Changing our society is a Herculean task and what perhaps needed is a 'meeting of minds', thinking minds who want to change things for better. Let's join this mission for national development through Building self respect and self confidence in every section of society and motivating them to think beyond self.

Thanks for thought full mail.

I have not met you but are you same who runs "Prabodhini" at Ambajogai.

 

In overall  picture if we see today's youth confidence levels are high but they lacs about emotions.Even if it is there they don't know how to control this is resulting into ideological conflict.

 

Many a times it happens ideology and profession doesn't work and hand in hand. Then starts feeling this is not the life and needs to do some thing different. There are lot many examples Arjuna and Krishna or even we take example of terrorist mind set.

What is needed is implementation of basic values education and implementation.

 

Thanks once again and may be some time we will meet.

Hello Prasaddada for a contribution so simulating to the our thinking.

You are absolutely right to point out the intellectual crisis (or rather Intellectuals' Crisis). All those people who can do something are not doing anything to their full potential. And that is the reason why their is a crisis in our minds. We are actually going up but still feel depressed.
Prasaddada, I feel that the reason is beyond only 'Intellectual crisis'. I strongly feel that it is a Morality Crisis which has plagued us. We Indians have little self respect left in us. A brave tribal who can kill a tiger single handedly, becomes a cow when he goes to Tehsil office. An enterprising businessman of the caliber of  Ford, acts like a slave in front of foreign delegation.
Why this happens? Credit for this must go to the Britishers, who destroyed every Indian symbol of national pride and also destroyed her socio-economic fabric. This is also the reason why even after 59 years of independence, we Indians are still in dilemma about whether we should be proud of Sanskrit and Sanskriti or not.
But the situation is changing. Mittal, TATA, Infosys etc. are the beacons for a new era for India - exactly because they are giving us a reason to be proud of. USA, UK and Japan are far ahead in development and welfare not because they have more people like Medha Patkar and Anna Hajare. This is because they have Ford & GM & Intel & Microsoft & Sony.
People like APJ, Sam Pitroda and TATA-Relience-Mittal believe in exactly this thing. They are giving us vision and also implementing it. We don't need Medha Patkar and Anna Hajare who prefer to become a part of problem rather than solution.  
India and Indians need more people who have a tremendous self respect (Self reaspect = respect about one's past, present and future). And India also need more people who create something of which we can be proud of.
