1. Sein Raij Shangpung has celebrated the Birth Centenary of Sri Guruji on 24 ^th March 2007 in Shangpung Auditoriam, Pohshnong, Shangpung, Jaintia Hills Meghalaya. This was the concluding programme of Birth Centenary Celebration in Meghalaya. More than 800 people with students from various schools has participated in the programmed. Sri Coming Ymbon the Headman of Shangpung Village has welcomed all participants. Shri Iata Papang, Shri M.L. Ktung, Shri Puramon Kynjing, Shri G. L. Niang & Shri Mangkashang Khongshei has delivered speeches on this occasion. The gathering was presided by Shri S.S. Manar , President of Sein Raij Shangpung  Various cultural programs was presented by the cultural groups from different units of Sein Raij from nearby villages. The prorgramme was concluded   by  prayer from Shri Heibormi Sungoh.

 

2. The Seva Bharati Meghalaya Jaintia Hills unit has conducted the 3 days residential training of Village Health Workers New Batch from 24 ^th March 2007 to 26^th March 2007 in Raliang Village of Jaintia Hills Meghalaya. 15 New Health Workers participated from 11 villages of the district. Dr. Wanki Lakiang, Dr. Devendra Sonawane has given the important information regarding the medical topics which are necessary for the Health Workers. Shri H.S. Dhar also delivered speech. Shri P. Kynjing, Shri M.L. Ktung & Shri Mangkashang Khongshei has also given  lectures on various social topics. The training was   concluded by distribution of Medical Boxes with the kind guidance and blessings of Shri C. Lyngdoh, the Dalloi of the Elaka Shangpung. Shri Shibun Lyngdoh the President of Seva Bharati Meghalaya was also present in the concluding   function.

 

 

3. The Opening ceremony of Medical Box was held on 1^st April 2007 in Biar Village. Villagers have actively participated in the meeting. Smt. B. Suchiang, the co-ordinator of Health Workers and Shri N. Manar, Secretary of Sein Kyrsu Niamtre Shangpung has delivered speech on this occasion.

 

4. The Shad Pastieh the Annual Festical of Khonshnong Village of Jaintia Hills was completed with great enthusiasm on 3 ^rd April 2007. A huge crowed was gathered to participate the function. The religious leaders from various units of Sein Raij were also present in the function. This is the Festival of New Year to pray to God the Almighty for the Prosperous and Healthy New Year.

 

 

Future Programmes

 

1. The Shad Sukra, the traiditional Dance of Pnar Community of Jowai, Jaintial Hills will be held on 7^th April 2007 in Jowai.

 

2. The Lympung , the gathering of indigenous people   in Meghalaya will be held on 13^th April to 15^th April 2007 in Marngar Village of Ri Bhoi District of Meghalaya. This year 80,000 participants are expected to take part in the grand function. This is the first time that this function will be held in Ri Bhoi District.

 

 

3. The training programe of Seva Bharati for New Health Workers of Khasi Hills will be held on 28 ^th & 29^th April 2007 in Radon memorial School, Seng Khasi L.P. School, Urksew, Pynursla, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya.

 

4. The Youth Development Camp of Jaintia Hills District will be held from 21 ^st April to 5^th March 2007 in Mukhla Village of Jaintia Hills. This is the training program to the organizers of Samskar Varg.

 

5. The Sangh Shiksha Varga (Training camp of RSS) of Uttar Assam Prant ( Assam, Meghalaya & Arunachal Pradesh) will be held in Hojai, Nagoan District , Assam from 30^th April 2007 to 21 May 2007.  1^st year and 2^nd year Varg will be held on the same venue at the same time.
