Namaskaram,

 On my last trip To India, I brought back several books from India ..

Since it is Varalakshmi Vratam [today in the US], I have scanned 2 texts. I don't know if they will be of interest to all, but I am sending on occasion of Varalakshmi Vrata :-). May jaganmAtA mahAlakShmI bless us all.

The first text is the ஸௌபாக்கயலக்ஷ்மீ பூஜை published by one E. Parvati Ammal of Mandavelipakkam.

In the preface, she writes:

    ... சாதாரணப் பெண்மணிகளும் இப்பூஜையில் ஈடுபடுவதால் அவர்களுக்கும் லக்ஷ்மி கடாக்ஷம் உண்டாகி இன்புற்று இருப்பார்கள் என்பது நிச்சயம். அதனால் சகல பெண்மணிகளுக்கும் லக்ஷ்மி கடாக்ஷம் சித்தி பெற இந்த சௌபாக்யலக்ஷ்மி பூஜை மிகவும் அவசியம் எனக் கருதியே இப்புத்தகம் எழுதலானேன் .....

    இந்த பூஜை செய்வதால் நிச்சயம் சர்வ மங்கள மாங்கல்யம் ஏற்படும்

The next book is the வரலக்ஷ்மி மங்களம் (பாட்டு) + பூஜாக்கிரமம், also by E. பார்வதி அம்மாள்

It has a composition (amongst other things) on Mahalakshmi, and also puja kramam.

I also am attaching a picture of Periyava and Varalakshmi from inside the book "ஸ்ரீ காமாக்ஷி , ஸ்ரீ வரலக்ஷ்மி , ஸ்ரீ சரஸ்வதி பூஜைகள்".  It has a beautiful picture of Kamakshi on the front cover, and JnanaSarasvati (Koothanur) on the back cover (also attached).

Another thing I liked very much was the back cover of the Kanakadhara Stotram published by Lifco in 1951.. ..

The front cover is quite beautiful too :-)

2) Many many years, Shri Sadagopan Sir had described the "Mahalakshmi kritis" of Muttusvami Dikshitar. They can be found here.
