I'm Judging You: The Do-Better Manual PDF File
"I'm judging you from Ajayi" is a film that may not have caught your attention upon first glance, but it will, when the trailers started playing. Directed by Shimit Amin, who has previously worked with the Coen brothers, and is an acclaimed filmmaker with multiple accolades under his belt, "I'm Joking with My Self" is based on a true story of the director's friend, the late musician and actor, Apoorvasan. In 2021, while Apoorvasan was away from home, his driver made a fatal mistake that killed him. When his body was found, it was discovered that he had died of a heart attack due to the blunt force of the crash, and that his musical career was over.

Years later, as he neared the end of his life, a tape of his final performance was found in his home. In it, he is heard speaking about his desire to make a movie, which ultimately led to him being hired by a company to make a movie based on the life of their client, a singer by the name of Jay Kubassek. Initially, it appears as though this movie won't be very different from any other movie of its kind that we've seen. However, as the film went into pre-production, Amin would introduce some key elements of the story that would give the viewer a deeper understanding of the film and ultimately make the film much more rewarding for the viewer.
The movie eventually became a highly successful film, earning more than a few Oscar Awards, and is a must-see film if you have a chance. However, as far as I'm judging you by Jokes with Myself... is a film that would work better if it were shown in the more intimate setting of a studio. Amin peppers the story with humor and allows himself to be joined by a talented cast of actors to make the most of each individual scene.
