The book starts off with an introduction on why contract law is so important. The chapters cover contract law principles and their importance in today's world. Then the next topics covered are property, tort law, and corporate law. The last three topics deal specifically with how these topics are used in the workplace and in other settings. The final chapter looks at how these topics are applied in cases, including what kind of cases will be dealt with and what kind of cases the practitioner will have to deal with.

Overall I thought that The Legal Environment of Business by Meiners was a very thorough and helpful book on a very important topic. I think if there is one law book worth reading it would be this one. It deals in depth with very important and challenging topics such as contract law, property, and corporate law. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to become a lawyer or take a certain career that requires law skills.
