Aula Internacional Nueva Edicin 1 by Corpas is a hard-hitting album from the band Name Of Soul. The first track on this CD, "Leyenda", is a powerful buildup of percussion and strings accompanied by an extremely percussive drum solo by Jose Maran. The percussion works very well with Jose Maran's vocal abilities, as his falsetto constantly vibrates off the instruments in the background. The overall effect is highly distorted and dark, and really gets the point across.
This is not your typical death metal album. Most death metal albums focus on the guitars and the power of the vocals, but not this one. Instead it is a full body experience, as you can clearly hear the drums being hit, yet feel the impact in the neck of the guitar. Some songs are slower and more melodic than others, as well as some featuring guest appearances by such luminous acts as Kiko Loukinen and Tony Cuffe. Some cuts on Aula Internacional Nueva Edicin 1 Libro del Honnestra Y Suicides are especially poignant, as they deal with loss and the passing of loved ones, just as we do.
On the other hand, this album isn't just about death and dying. Instead, most songs on the album are about love and relationships. Some of the slowest songs on the album are about falling in and out of love, or just getting to know each other. The most memorable songs, for me though, are probably those that depict the band members' individual personality, as well as their interaction with each other.
