Hello everyone,
I have some new data that integrates drift scans from my interferometer over five days. Sensitivity has improved to the point that ~35 fringes can be seen for Taurus A. However, I'm having a hard time seeing anything weaker. During the day, the sun is a powerful interfering source, so it is obvious to me that observations should be done at night.
There is residual RFI with my new upper C band LNB that I think is impacting my ability to see weaker sources. I am working on ways to efficiently excise this RFI in the hopes that I can achieve better performance.
When I sum data over a full sidereal day from my filterbank, RFI spikes in many frequency channels are clearly present.
