Hi,

I am new to Amarino anf Java.
Thanks to the good how-tos I got the examples to work without
problems.

After searching the group and google I still haven't found an example
project for something like:
Push a button to enable internal LED and receive back an OK from
Arduino. (maybe show it in a textbox).

I tried to change the MultiColorLamp Example by adding two buttons for
on/off. I also added two functions (copy paste from the existing
functions) to send the data. The application runs but the buttons
don't work.

If someone could publish such an example app it would help a lot. At
least me - but I think a lot of other startes as well.

Thanks
Robert

OK - got the button to work now.
I now try to get the Arduino send an OK after executing the function
and have the Android app show the result in a text field.
I'll publish it .. if I get it to work :-)

In case such an example exstst and I just missed it, please let me
know.
Or if you can/want help me with the second part of the example.

Thanks
Robert

Hi.
I can send you mine later today. I need to find it first :) but it shouldn't be a problem.

This would be great. While Arduino is really great, it is not easy to
get started with it. Especially when you just start with Java aswell.

Thanks Brian fot the offer.

Brian,

Heard you have an example using a button. I just got done hacking the lamp app to control a skull with pan and led's for Halloween. Moving forward I would like to incorporate other elements like buttons and would love to have an example to guide me.

Any chance you could hook me up too?

Hi Adam,
since I never get feedback on this app I do not feel confident in distributing it.
I would rather suggest you check out these examples.

Good Luck

Thanks for the quick response. I'm sure your program was awesome. If you want to talk about some shady programming I just got done hacking the multicolorlamp app to control a rotating skull with led eyes. Every now and then it would just freak out LOL. Anyways thanks for the info.
