Dear Madam,

Thank you for the opportunity to present our recommendations to the
proposed criminal law reform. We are attaching our responses to the
specific issues raised by NCW in their points of concern on behalf of
members of _Aman, Global Voices for Peace in the Home, _a network
working on the issue of violence against women, particularly Domestic
Violence, across India; as well as _Maitree,_ a West Bengal based
network working on women's rights and violence against women.

Once again request that you hold further consultations with more women's
groups, feminist lawyers, and other concerned stakeholders so that all
views are considered before coming to any decisions on this important
subject.
