Dear Sampa,

Greetings of the day!

A whole hearted and warm welcome to the 'AMAN: Global Voices for Peace in the Home, West Bengal Chapter. It is an International Network to End Domestic Violence. It comprises organisations and individuals in India and abroad, working on the core issue of violence against women, particularly domestic violence. It came into existence on 7 December 2006.
The network provides a platform for member organisations and individuals to interact with each other and learn and grow from each other’s strategies and best practices. The network believes in the strength of collective processes to bring about social change.
Copy of the AMAN leaflet has been attached herewith to have a brief idea about the network and its vision and mission.

To give you a brief idea of our structure:

  • The network has a Secretariat and holds regular monthly meetings, usually on the last Tuesday of every month.

  • Depending on urgent needs or circumstances, dates may occasionally shift slightly.

  • In addition, as the network organises frequent and intensive programmes throughout the year, there are planning meetings, stakeholder visits, and other related engagements as required.

Also please find the attached membership form. Please fill up the provided form and mail back to us to ensure/confirm your participation to the network.

Thanks and regards
Soumi Jana
