Dear AMAN Network Members,

Greetings from Swayam, and I wish you all good health and peace in the festive seasons!

As you all know, every year on behalf of SANGAT, we organise a regional training course in Bengali. Many of you have participated in this course and have greatly enriched the learning experience! In line with this training series, we are pleased to invite you to a fifteen-day Sangat Bengali training on Gender, Development, and Peace, taking place from 2nd to 16th December 2025. This training is being organised in association with Swayam, Pragroshar, and SANGAT (The South Asian Feminist Network), who are dedicated to promoting gender justice, equality, and peace.

In the nineties, it became clear that regional communication was necessary to create a cross-learning space among different areas to create a platform for sharing common concerns and developing combined strategies for work in the development sector, ultimately promoting gender equality, harmony and peace. With this understanding, Sangat - The South Asian Feminist Network decided to organise capacity-building training sessions in local languages across the region, enabling local professionals to participate in the process.

The main objective of this training course is to develop gender sensitivity and a feminist perspective among the participants so they can apply these learning in their personal life and work environment, and work towards creating a gender equal and gender justice world. The training also provides an opportunity to learn about each other, enhance their sense of solidarity and develop a partnership of like-minded individuals and organisations.

Training Details:

- Duration: 15 days (2^nd to 16^th December, 2025)

- Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

- Language: The course will be conducted in Bangla.

- Expenses: Organizers will bear the cost of all participants' food and lodging throughout the fifteen-day residential course. There is NO Course FEE for the training but there will be a registration fee of Rs. 2000/ (Ind. Rupee). The passport, visa, and travel cost will be borne by the participants of their own.

- Participant Profile: Professionals from the development sector and academicians with a minimum of 5 years of experience are eligible to participate. Each organization can nominate one representative and we have limited to 15 seats available.
