Concrete Strength for Hoisting of Precast Sab Drain Top Slab

Dear CAGA,

 

We have earlier communicated.

As attached PE Report and Endorsed Dwg, the concrete strength for hoisting of the newly casted Precast Slab to the existing drain top slab is G20N.

Note: Our test cubes result now is G30N minimum.

 

The final design stage G30/37 is concrete strength to be achieved before we cast the 2^nd layer 150mm on top the newly laid precast slab or before open for public usage or whichever is earlier.

Dear Kai Hui,

 

We communicated just now. Our past 2-days test result from Accredited Lab- Cast Lab shown confidently passed > more than G20N with some over G40N (3 nos.) for Mountbatten Road Works Order Precast Drain Top Slab.

 

With such high remarkably good result for 2 days test cube as attached, we would strongly request to seek your waiver for the hoisting work to proceed on site after 2 days to clear more space for the next batch precast units casting on site.

 

Currently those casted precast units are sitting on site waiting for lab test result before we can hoist to the existing drain top slab making the space on site for the next batch of precast units casting unavailable. This has incredibly hinder and slow down our precast slab production on site.

 

Also, if the test result came out late in the afternoon, we cannot order concrete in time and our workers have to work late in the night if we are to order concrete after late afternoon.

 

Thus, we seek your kind concurrence to allow us to hoist the precast slab units onto the existing slab after 2 days from the date of casting before test result receive from Cast Lab.

 

We, OKP will undertake to redo any precast unit if any test result for 2 days failed below G20N.
