1. If we were to excavate an additional 1m for the installation of the key for the original Type C retaining wall, we will have to spend additional time to install the ERSS required for the work.
   
   This is in addition to the risk of any settlement of the adjacent drain next to the road.
2. We will be saving 60% of the construction time

Dear Mr Patrick,

 

Please find below figure inputted with levels and regraded slope gradient as per requested. The height from bottom of retaining wall to proposed level is about 3.25m as per site condition. In design calculation, we have adopted a conservative height of 4.366m for retaining wall design. As the height from bottom of retaining wall to proposed level on site is less than 4m, thus, no AC is required.
