Christmas comes but once a year,
Old friends are brought to mind,
And we remember years long past,
And days left far behind.
We think of them, that warm our hearts,
Remembering happy times,
Of Kul kuls Cakes and Curry puffs
Palaos and Roasts and Wines.
Now some of us have Christmases
With Frost and Snow and Ice,
With fireplaces, blazing logs,
And turkeys hot and nice.
While some of us have Christmases
With Barbies, Chooks and Beer,
And golden beaches, clear blue skies,
With warm blue seas so near.
But
Though we may live worlds apart,
Each one of us remembers,
The Christmases of days long past-
The days of past Decembers.
So
To all of you who’ve made your homes
In places far asunder,
We send you Greetings once a year,
And Lots and lots of love and cheer,
And a
HAPPY NEW YEAR
From
Rita and Derek
