Nesta gravação que fiz das músicas de Heitor Villa-Lobos, quis propor uma nova leitura, exagerando aspectos que estão na obra, mas são ignorados.

Por exemplo, o Estudo 3 é subentitulado pelo Villa-Lobos como um estudo de arpejos, mas os violonistas tocam como se fosse de ligados. Para tirar os ligados (notas tocadas com a mão esquerda) do centro do discurso musical, e colocar os arpejos como protagonistas, tive de pensar em opções interpretativas incomuns.

In this recording I made of Heitor Villa-Lobos' music, I wanted to propose a new interpretation, exaggerating aspects that are in the compositions, but are ignored.

For example, Study 3 is subentitled by Villa-Lobos as an arpeggio study, but the guitarists play it as if it were a slur study. To take the slurs (notes played with the left hand) out of the center of the musical discourse, and put the arpeggios as the protagonists, I had to think of unusual interpretative options.
