How many of the churches in Alva are still operating? I think Harmony
Baptist as well as Hopewell Methodist
are both closed. Alva Baptist lost its pastor, Richard Moorman, to
death a year or two ago. New Liberty BC
between Alva and Lodi has a service on the third Sunday of May each
year but otherwise closed. It is sad
that all of these long-time churches have had to shut their doors due
to lack of attendance and membership.
Anyone out there have any memories of times in those churches they
want to share? Lowell
