QuarkXPress 2022 and later versions can open documents created in QuarkXPress 7 and later. Any web or interactive layouts within such documents will be removed during the opening because these layout types are not supported by QuarkXPress 10 and later versions.
The QuarkXPress document converter only converts legacy QuarkXPress 3.x- 6.x documents to QuarkXPress 9.1 but does not upgrade its text flow version. When a user opens such a converted document in QuarkXPress 2022 and later versions, then the text flow version will get upgraded and it will become equal to the document version. Hence, the text will reflow. The same behavior occurs if the user updates the text flow version of a legacy version document in QuarkXPress 9.x, (by opening the document by pressing Alt key) and then saves it.

Mac users can convert documents from QuarkXPress 3.1 through 6.x and open them within QuarkXPress 2022 and later versions, without installing a separate application. Use of this feature requires review of and agreement to the Legacy Document Converter terms and conditions because files will be uploaded to a U.S.-based server for processing as per the Quark Sub-Processor Policy. Once files are converted and downloaded by the user, they will be deleted from the server immediately and permanently.
Once a document is converted, it may be opened by clicking on its name from the converted documents list and then viewed by using Show in Finder directly from the palette. The converted document name will be suffixed with '_9x'.

I installed the demo version of Quark, but the copy functions have also been disabled so I couldn't copy and paste the text or graphics from the file. I am still in search of a converter but I do have a pdf version of the same qxp file. Worse comes to worse I will cut and paste from that and have to recreate the formating. Again thanks for the help. The A031 combines up to 3 NMEA inputs with a Seatalk bus, making this an effective way to view all your marine data anywhere on your boat via your mobile phones, tablet and laptop (with the added option to connect to a NMEA chart plotter).
The multiplexer combines NMEA data that is received on the listener ports and sends this data to the talker port, the WiFi interface and the USB port simultaneously. The USB port can also be used for configuration of specific WiFi and NMEA port settings.
The built-in SeaTalk* to NMEA converter translates SeaTalk* data into NMEA sentences. This data is then combined with NMEA data received on the other inputs. SeaTalk* is converted into NMEA sentences but not vice-versa. The SeaTalk* bus is a single-cable system and connects all instruments serially. Only one SeaTalk* input is needed.
Every NMEA input on the QK-A031 is galvanically isolated, also called opto-isolation. Galvanically isolated input prevents unwanted currents flowing between the instruments and the multiplexer (this prevents equipment damage and interference with radio signals).
