P.S.
Wow.......Another
unforgettable toastmaster meeting on 6/27!!
On this meeting, our President Victor announced
that our club has gained 7 points in DCP program and achieved "Select Distinguished Club"!!!
Big congratulations to all of us!
Some snacks and beverage were served on this meeting for celebration. Thanks to Victor for preparing it.
The theme of this meeting is "surprising". The table topic master Deng Nan prepared some "surprising" questions for the speakers. The surprise was that there were some beautiful pictures for the speakers to choose, while the questions behind were little challenging.
It was an interesting session with a lot of laugh.
Eventually, Deng Nan won the "best function role".
You know what? It is the first time for Deng Nan to conduct the table topic session. Good Job! Congratulations to Deng Nan.

5 members joined the table topic session: Jian Ming; Jie; Ji Zong; Yuna; William.
It is not an easy job to give an impromptu
speaking, especially when asked with "surprising"
questions.
At last, Jian Ming won the "best table topic speaker".
If I remember correctly, it was the 2nd time Jian Ming won this award although he is a new member. Amazing! congratulations!
Jian Ming is deserved this award since he delivered his speech very smoothly with confidence. One miner reminder for Jian Ming is that you might pay attention to your gesture a little bit. You put your hands at back during the speech. It's better to make more open gestures.

The prepared speeches are always important part for toastmaster meeting.
There are two speakers in this meeting: Yuna and another special speaker.
Yuna delivered her ice breaker speech successfully!! I believe she has the potential to be an excellent speaker and she was deserved the "Best Speaker". Congratulations! Looking forward to her next speech.

Another special speaker is a disabled man without hands and legs in the video. All the audiences were deeply moved by his optimistic, insistence and spirit! Comparing with him, we are very lucky. We have no reason to be angry to the situation, to other people; We have no reason to give up.....
Thanks to Victor to provide such inspiring video!
The last winner today is our VPM, Ji Zong. He gave the opening and conclusion for this meeting instead of the president Victor since Victor is the toastmaster of today. Thanks to Ji Zong for your reminder that each of our club members needs to attend the meeting on Wed. regularly. That was a promise when we determined to join this club!
Ji Zong evaluated Yuna's speech and won the "best evaluator" award. Congratulations!

The toastmaster of today is our president Victor. He did excellent job!! No more words here.
I (Sunlight) was the general evaluator. My evaluation team includes: timer Yao Jian; Ah-counter Jie; and grammarian Lesley.
It's the first time for Yao Jian to take this role. A very good start!
Thanks to Jie for your detailed An-counter report!
Thanks to Lesley for preparing the word of today "marvelous"!
I think we had a "marvelous"
meeting. Do you agree?!
Best regards,

Dear toastmasters,
Attached is our 80# meeting agenda.
Come on and show your performance on the stage!
My fellow toastmasters,
As we discussed on last two toastmaster meetings, we will make a prepared speech plan to consolidate each member’s goal and to improve the meeting quality.
Below is draft plan. It is subject to be adjusted after your review, especially for those who didn’t show up on the meetings. I will also try to contact with you offline for your goal.
After the review, I will update the registration web page. In case the speaker could not deliver the speech as the plan, please he/she contact others to be backup (for example, you could ask if the prepare speakers the week after to see if they could pull up) and let the toastmaster & officer team know.
Welcome any comment and suggestion! Thanks a lot for your attention.

81th meeting minutes

My fellow toastmasters,
It was another special and wonderful toastmaster meeting!
Why was it special and wonderful?
1. It is the first time after we changed the time to Thursday evening.
2. The new area governor Katie Zhang visited our Club.
3. Our previous president Deng was back on the stage to deliver a wonderful speech.
4. New guest Susan joined our meeting.
5. It is the first meeting after we made a plan for the prepared speech. The plan did work. All our members seem to be passionate to deliver speeches. Very good trend!
......
The toastmaster is Lesley, one of our officers.
She made a good preparation before the meeting and control the meeting very well.
She invited each evaluator to read out the objectives for each prepared speech. It could make the audience and the speakers to pay attention to the objectives of the speech. Great!
3 prepared speakers performed very well!
The first speaker is Cuckoo, who achieved CC and delivered her 2nd AC speech "Story for Baby Bath". Her speech is very attractive and all the audiences were attracted by her story about her baby and family. She eventually won the best speaker!! Congratulations to Cuckoo.
The send speaker is Deng, our previous president. He delivered CC project 6 "Six responsibilities of New Fathers". He used each word of FATHER to tell us the six responsibilities of new father: F (Forever love); A (Available); T (Trust partner); H (Hard working); E (Emotional Care); R (Run errand). Very impressive sharing!
The 3rd speaker is our current president, Victor. He also delivered CC project 6 "The blue rock" smoothly. Congratulations!
Since Cuckoo left the meeting due to another conference, we didn't take her picture.
We have a strong evaluation team. Especially Katie provided positive and constructive comments to Cuckoo as always. She eventually won the best evaluator. Congratulations to Katie!
Jian Ming evaluated Victor's speech. It's the first time for Jian Ming to take the evaluation role. Good start!
Sunlight evaluated Deng's speech.

Also our Timer Nan, Ah-counter Yuna and Grammarian Jie did good job. Especially, Nan provided a very detailed report and she won the best functional role award. Congratulations to Nan!

The most interesting session is table topic session.
The table topic master is Ji Zong, a humorous guy. He prepared very interesting topics about "the senses".
Deng, Katie, Victor, Lesley and Guest Susan shared their experience on the stage. Katie won the best table topic speaker. Congratulations to Katie again!

What a wonderful meeting!
Let's look forward to next one!
Best regards,
