All,

 

Congratulation! We held a very successful meeting yestoday.

This was a special day, and all of us enjoyed the funny meeting.

 

Prepare speech session:

Victor Chen, our president, delivered the CC4 speech- Fun facts of Olympics. He gave us some funny stories in the Olympic history. The organization of the speech was clear. There questions educed three facts, and the simple words and the brief sentences made us learnt from them. Victor also used the blackboard to write some numbers to let us understand clearly.

Lemon, our VPE, delivered the CC8 speech-Popular Mobile Games. This was also a very interesting speech. Lemon used the PPT to introduce three mobile games: angry birds, fruit ninja and cut short. Using the familiar games was a good way to be appropriate for the audience. And we were all relax with this speech.

 

One thing to point out was that, both speakers took the scripts on the table, it was unallowed.

 

Evaluation session:

Katie always performed well in the session and gave us the good suggestion for the speaker.

Li, we could see that, he improved much in the past months. Today, he took this role and gave us the evaluation following the rules of manual. He gave the evaluation according to the speech organization, eye contact, body movements and timer controls.

 

Timer: Avil, also she was absent for a long time and pregnant. She gave us a very good timer control in the whole meeting! Thank you very much. When the time was up, she always knocked on the table to reminder our speakers.

 

An-counter: Lemon, thank you very much. You caught a cold today, but you still took two important roles in this meeting. And we saw that, we still had unnessary words in our speech, although we practised so much. Let's continue practising!

 

Grammarian: Lesley, seperated two parts to gave us the evaluation for the grammar: tense error, pronunciation. Today word: blow sb. mind. 

 

Table topic session:

 

Sunlight changed the style for this session. Before, for the several meeting, we always used the regular method to begin our table topic. Table topic master prepared 5~6 questions and picked up the person to answer. Sunlight changed. He used a box and put all the names in this box, every time, he would pick up one person in the box. It made the chance equality. Meanwhile, the topic was interesting too. "Truth and Dare", in the PPT, the speaker could choose one animal to open the question in "Truth option" or "Dare option". And we would hear Victor's first dating, Jizong's dream when he was young, Avil's stories with her husband. It made us knew each other better.

 

Finally, Sunlight summarized this session. That's good.

 

Our toastmaster Xujie performed drolly in the whole meeting. He sometimes used story to channel us understand the topic better, like Feb. 29th, special day, he used Tanhaoqiang. Because he was so exited in the meeting, he forgot 1 mins comment session in the meeting. It was a good sign for us, he was so happy to speak english and performed on the stage. Let's wait for his next acting.
