You can find bellow more information about HCD Global's TED-CAP Program:

- Number of Participants: 30 students

- Start date: Jun 16th (Monday)

- Duration: 6 weeks

- End date: Aug 31st (Friday)

- Place: Shanghai (which hotel?) yes, training in HCD headquarters’ meeting center in shanghai, about accommodation, see my below reply.
- Price: RMB 2,000 (RMB 200 for assessments + RMB if the candidate pass the assessments RMB 1,800 for the whole training. Assessment fee of RMB 200 in nonrefundable)

- Accommodation: the idea is that all the participants will live together in a nice and near hostel - RMB 350 per month.

- Transportation and Food: the participant is responsible

Selection Process

IMP: The center of reviewers are located in Wuhan, so applicants from other cities may contact me asap so we can try to arrange a visit from HCD Global staff to that city.

Profile

- Junior / Senior (3rd or 4th Years) students who are majoring in any particular area - REQUIRED
- Previous experience as intern or employee - Preferred

- Majoring in marketing or management - Preferred

- From a family whose parents in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) or Retail industry - Preferred

Internship opportunities
- Some of the biggest companies in China will participate in the training delivering sessions
- After the training there will be a career fair
- For the ones who are selected for internships, they might start in September and go until December
- Successful interns will receive a full year job proposal

For now the starting date is not flexible, so there will be the last day to apply and join the program. I received some emails and calls talking about possible interest members - but until now nothing is confirmed. Dear LCPs and VPs ER/BD,

During this term, I will be responsible for the whole "non-exchange" portfolio, that includes Conferences, Employer Branding, Youth to Business - Y2B Forum and other events, and Learning Partners.

Analyzing our current partners and proposals received almost every week I see clearly how interesting AIESEC is for companies that want to promote their companies and the training programs provided by them. Therefore, in my sincere we do not need to have a lot of partners that no one knows and that generate very few benefits. Instead we must have few but powerful partners, that understand and believe in AIESEC and really support the development of our members.

Searching for this kind of partners, we found HCD Global - a company founded 10 years ago by Julia Li (Harvard Business School alumni). HCD Global is a leading education technology group based in China. The company offers senior-level training for executives, innovative business simulation games, and premium learning tours - both inbound to China and outbound.

This year, they are starting up a new program for University students called TED-CAP - Terciary Education. The CEOs and senior HR executives of their corporate partners shared a common problem: high costs and long time demanded to train recent graduate employees, that have excellent academic background, but huge gaps in basic soft skills, as business etiquette, public communication and team work. Besides, usually the academic background is not connected to specific industries and market understanding. The consequence is that today the average unemployment rate for graduates is 25% - and from graduates from 2nd and 3rd tier cities the rate can be higher than 80%. 

So HCD Global developed its TED-CAP - Terciary Education: source talented individuals for a 2-month intensive training program, followed by a 3-month internship in a major company. Each student paired with a mentor would be assessed on their progress, strengths and potential to be placed into different positions within companies, guaranteeing a 95% placement rate. The program is being sponsored by the Ministry of Education and some of the biggest companies in China - so the costs for participants may be just around RMB 2.000 (20% of total cost).

This first edition will only have 30 parcipants. The selection will be done until middle of July and there are only more 10 available spots. The main points: they are very interested in selecting AIESECers for this spot. The main point is: the participants must be interested in full-time job just afterwards the training.
