The alt.treasurehunting.lrl newsgroup is beset by posters of a
deceptive skeptical nature who libel and defame in an attempt to
deceive readers their comments are genuine. They are no more genuine
than defamation itself. The only lie & scam here is their illegal
mockery of accepted products.

Please report this behavior in the interests of the consumer. Post this
message as a blunt warning where possible on forums of this kind. The
insistently skeptical posts are a form of trolling and meant to flame
and disrupt the industry. They appear to originate from the same
anti-long-range locating source. It uses many names to create the
impression there are more than 1 or 2 skeptics and tells defamatory
lies in a campaign to insult both the buyer as well as the seller. It
falsely maintains discontinued products are the property of others e.g.
re R-T, an offence of patent.

Product reports referred to are known to be self-opinionated and not
written by a normal and capable user who can either use the equipment
or gauge the real-time mechanical state of it. This type of abuse
has been ocurring for 12 years and his identity is known to those in
the business.

Let the reader beware the locators are beyond the grasp of the ad hoc
critic(s)whose experience does not (or will not) extend to these
accepted detectors that bring so much joy to detectorists.

It is hoped this newsgroup will remove the flotsam that obscures the
simple truths re long range locators.

I found this site gave an unexpected answer to what is the motive force
behind R-T products at least.
