THIS WEEK

1) Shabbat Morning Minyan, February 13th, 10:00 am (note venue change)

Altshul will meet Shabbat morning, February 13th, in the Beth Elohim
Rotunda, downstairs in the Sanctuary Building, Brooklyn, NY 11215.
Kindershul will start at the beginning of the torah service. Note:
We will not be meeting in the Rabbi’s office, as previously announced.

Altshul will meet Friday, February 19th for Kabbalat Shabbat and
Maariv at 6:30 pm in the Beth Elohim Rotunda, downstairs in the
Sanctuary Building, 274 Garfield Place, Brooklyn, NY 11215.

3) Shabbat Morning Minyan, February 27th, 10:00 am

Altshul will meet Shabbat morning, February 27th, in the Rabbi’s
Office at Congregation Beth Elohim, 274 Garfield Place, Brooklyn, NY
11215. Kindershul will start at the beginning of the torah service

4) Purim Megillah Readings, Motzei Shabbat 2/27 and Sunday Morning
2/28

Altshul will be hosting services and megillah reading both the night
and the morning of Purim. Services will take place Saturday 2/27 at 7
pm, and Sunday 2/28 at 10 am. We will also be sponsoring a party
after the evening reading. If you are interested in helping to plan

5) Purim Social Action, Sunday 2/21

Sunday, February 21st: Hamentaschen Baking, Mishloach Manot Packing to
Donate
In honor of Purim, come bake hamentaschen and pack Mishloach Manot
(gift bags) to donate to the residents at the Cobble Hill Health
Center, a nursing home in Carroll Gardens.

Program
The preferred application deadline is February 15, 2010. Visit

potential students on Wednesday, January 27th at 12:30 pm (EST) with
the Director of Recruitment in Israel and a current Pardes student.

The Pardes Year Program includes intensive Jewish study. Students
participate in seminar-style classes and Havruta (partner study) and
take 20-32 hours of courses per week. There are also opportunities for
