Altshul will meet Shabbat morning, June 26th, in the Rabbi’s Office at Congregation Beth Elohim, 274 Garfield Place, Brooklyn, NY 11215. Kindershul will start at the beginning of the torah service. After kiddush, we will walk to Prospect Park for a potluck vegetarian picnic. Please bring food that is hechshered or from a kosher or strictly vegetarian kitchen.

Congregation Beth Elohim seeks to hire our Director of Teaching and Learning for Yachad, our K-8 Jewish educational program. Our congregation is one of the few in the country that employ full-time teachers for our religious school. Our program meets Monday-Thursday and on Saturday mornings. The Director of Teaching and Learning supervises our full- and part-time teachers, oversees the Yachad program on a daily basis, and provides educational support for students and parents, including students with special needs. Come be part of a dynamic team charged with moving forward the Congregation’s new educational vision!

8. Summertime at Luria Academy
The Luria Academy KAITANA is a summer enrichment program that focuses on Hebrew and English language and literacy. It includes artist-led creative workshops, swimming, sports, martial arts, gardening, art, and chess & games clubs, with weekly trips to museums and parks. A half-day toddler program with art and water activities is also available.
The program runs 5 weeks, from July 12 - August 13. You may choose to join on a daily or weekly basis, with a discount for all 5 weeks. Sibling discounts also available.
