Hi,
I am very interested in people’s thoughts on this as well, for me the key thing if people are happy with it would be keeping it closed to direct companies rather than agencies getting in on the act.
Thanks

P please don't print this e-mail unless you really need to
I get contacted by recruiters through many different channels. Can we
restrict it to job vacancies that are *relevant* (agile requirements etc).

I’m sorry if my job post triggered that email.
That said, while the website is useful, I think if job postings are targeted and within the scope of the discussion, and from people we’re used to see messages from, then it would be fine. I’d rather get my next contract through this list and followers of alt.net discussions than going through yet another agency that will charge an awful amount of money for selecting a few cvs they don’t understand.

I take the view that if someone *who we know* says "hey guys, we're
looking for {insert job appropriate for this list here} - know anyone
good?" then that's fine (so Seb's post didn't bother me).
But if strangers turn up on the list posting jobs then I'm likely to
wield the admin hammer.
Seems a sensible to me - I trust those that I know not to abuse that trust.
Thoughts?
Alan
Well, from a practical point of view, anyone configured as an
administrator of this group I suppose.
