Hi all,

for those of you that are users of OpenRasta, have played with it, are looking for a coding challenge, love writing documentation or enjoy helping OSS projects, we've started a "20 days to release" program for OpenRasta.

The goal is to provide a fresh set of binaries of the 2.0 version for MIX10 where there is a session on OpenRasta from Kyle Baley, with a new web site and updated documentation...

Blog post is here http://serialseb.blogspot.com/2010/02/announcing-20-days-to-openrasta-project.html

If you were looking for a way to get involved with open-source, there you are :)

Seb

OpenRasta works great on Azure, see what the SharpCloud guys are using it for.

As for multiple formats, it's the core and probably the most important architectural difference between openrasta and every other frameowrk outthere. We have codecs that are pluggable, per serialization, so implement IMediaTypeWriter / IMediaTypeReader and off you go :)

I’ve been looking at using OpenRasta for a RESTful data web service. I would normally use ADNS, but the serialization logic is baked into the assembly, which makes is hard to support different formats. Is a scenario that OpenRasta sees in the pipeline, or is it a totally misuse of the technology?

BTW, has anyone had issues with OpenRaste on Azure web applications?

Thanks!

Erick

Good luck with this. Let me know how it goes and how you find OData

Cool, thank you! I was thinking about creating a service that is compatible with ADO.NET Data Services (OData), at least for the REST and serialization portions. We’ll see if it gets done by mix!
