The alt.net.uk conference is almost upon us! Below are some final
details about the conference.
We have three main parts to the conference.
Friday Night:
1) 'Breaking the ice' and Agenda Planning. Friday 12th between
18.00-19.30 @ Conway Hall ( http://www.conwayhall.org.uk/ ). Address
is 25 Red Lion Square, Holborn, WC1R 4RL
2) Drinks @ 'The Enterprise' ( http://www.the-enterprise.co.uk/ ) pub
in Holborn from 19.30. Address - 38 Red Lion Street, London, WC1R 4PN.
The bar is walking distance from Conway Hall.
Saturday:
3) Alt.Net.UK Conference - Saturday 13th 09.30 - 17.30 @ Conway Hall,
25 Red Lion Square, Holborn, WC1R 4RL
We are following a very similar approach to the event in February.
Friday is a great opportunity for you to get to know everyone
attending the conference. We will also be having the planning session
for the Saturday, this is the chance for you to suggest topics you
want to talk about, or hear other people talk about. People are free
to arrive from 6pm, but we understand if you arrive later - just come
and introduce yourself when you have chance.
At around 7.30pm, we will move onto 'The Enterprise' bar, which is
just a short walk from Conway Hall, to continue the conversation. Alan
and I have tried the beer and we can recommend it! One of our
sponsors, Huddle (www.huddle.net), are putting some money behind the
bar to help us get started.
On the Saturday, the main event will happen at Conway Hall, doors
should be open from 9.00 aiming to start at around 9.30. We have a
number of rooms available and we will organise which sessions wiil be
in which rooms on the Saturday morning. You might find it useful to
bring your laptops, but they are not essential.
