“Democracy and justice cannot be fought by just one person. Courage to
fight does not come from me, Ly Chariya gives me too much power while
under-estimating the courage of the people. At the end of the day, who
will end up in jail? Interesting that all these comments evade what

“I would like to contribute my thought as a woman and a mother of 2
grown up children. I adore Sochua's courage to stand up for women's
right but I would do different ways if I were her. I still can fight
the cause and will not let my children feel sorry for me that we the
woman has to crowd the jail cell. We can choose other battlefield. I
WOULD TRY TO SOLICIT THE FUND FROM INTERNATION HUMAN RIGHTS
ORGANIZATIONS THAT FOLLOW THE PARIS PEACE ACCORD AND ASK THEM TO CHIP
IN THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THE FINE. THE FINE PAYMENT SHOULD BE FROM
NEITHER SRP FUND NOR MY OWN. THIS SHOULD BE TREATED AS A PAYMENT FOR
A BOUND CHECK THAT THE WORLD PROVIDED TO THE CAMBODIAN PEOPLE IN
1993. Even the organizations cannot contribute but we could raise
their awareness of their moral commitment and of the CPP’s new battle
field to ‘use the corrupt law to suppress people’s freedom in the
democratic movement’. This case is not strong enough to take it to
the higher image of the struggle. It has some flaws. It’s okay to
lose battle as long as we do not lose the war. We are still
learning. Hang Chakra's freedom of expression violation is much
stronger case to take to the world attention.”
