YOUR SAY ON “THE THAKSIN CARD”
“I'd just like to raise one point. According to some, the Thai
military posted near Preah Vihear has been under control or influence
of those loyal to the Thai King. That is the faction that deposed
Thaksin and drove the subsequent Thai PM out of office. If this true
it's not fair to blame the Thai government pro Thaksin for commanding
the Thai military to position and challenge the Preah Vihear area.”

“Your analysis of Thaksin’s words is rather cynical. It is possible
the man means well, eventhough he is a politician who believes there
is no separation between politics and business of making money. A
book, “Thaksin: The Business of Politics in Thailand” by Pasuk
Phongpaichit and Chris Baker (2004), is a good read.”
