Watch tonights episode of Free Media, Free Minds! at 9pm on Cape Town TV celebrating the extensive access to cell phones in South Africa, their role in the democratisation of media production and distribution, and the current barriers to their use: The high cost of airtime and excessive profiteering of cel phone companies.

In studio we have Alison Gillwald (Research ICT Africa) and Abongile Nyumbeka (Social Justice Coalition).

The show includes an interview with Nkwame Cedile from the Right2Know Campaign who are campaigning fro free basic and affordable airtime, sms and data.

The show was broadcast across Cape Town and live streamed on the internet every tonight at 21h00 and broardcast again on Sunday at 19h00.
