ping question

Hi, using mush z.

 

Is there any way to set a trigger response to remove the "ping" that is automatically sent by alteraeon to the mush z display that I see when playing alteraeon?

 

kind of annoying when I simply want to  mouse up one line to see what was missed during a game

HI,
Good question. probably is but roght off hand I do not know. you would need
the whole ping message to set it up yourself.

what I do is this? If mush z says a line i do not want to see I add that
line to jaws dictionary manager to set it as a blank line. This does put a
blank line in the output window but no text is there. actually there might
be text there but since jaws is set to say nothing it does not show. And of
course this is how I do it with jaws.

i would send rhorae a mudmail asking him this question. See what he says
about it.

strange thing is now that you mention it i don't think i have seen a ping in
quite a while.

You should never see the 'ping' - the client should handle that automatically, and keep it all hidden.  Pings are used for determining server lag.

Have you updated your client recently?

Hi,

for me yes. using latest full release. At least pretty sure that's what I am
using.

Very possible that is why I have not seen the ping message. Might have been
earlier version on which I saw it and why not seeing it any more.

I'm still using an older verison of the install but have updated it with all updates I have been notified of when logging in to AleterAeon
