logging in

hello i am trying to sign in but am being told the site is down for
maintenance or a reboot the day is sat night at 9.40 pm is anyone else
having this trouble

I was logged in when the game locked up. The system said file corruption had been detected or something to that effect.

About 2 ours ago the system displayed the following warning:

THE SERVER HAS DETECTED FILESYSTEM CORRUPTION. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BUILD. THE
GAME IS WIZLOCKED AND PLAYERS WILL NOT SAVE.
currently the game is locked. those who are logged in cannot save their
characters. Those not logged in, like you, cannot do so. Dentin has not
shown up yet to clear the system. No timeline on when it will be fixed.

currently I think dentin has logged in and rebooted the system. But it is
still locked. Just keep trying. Eventually it will be back up.

As of now the system is back up. But beware it is not working correctly.
Nothing you do saves. You might be missing eq. have no fame, who knows. Its
chaos!. o there is a massive death march like south of unholy.

BTW this is as of 11:30 pm, or abouts, server time.

Yeah, we had a major server outage.  It's mostly repaired now, and it should be safe to play.
