Does anyone have any idea if there are any plans for AltaPoint EMR's
to obtain CCHIT Certification?

Every indication is pointing to CCHIT Certification of EMR's as one of
the requirement providers will need
to meet in order to quailify for the $44,000.00 in Grant money under
the resently signed Stimulus Package.

Why would providers even consider purchasing a EMR Package that does
not meet the requirements to
receive FREE MONEY for something that is mandated that they use if
they plan on billing Medicare
and/or Medicad patients in 2013 and beyond.

I am confused. You first ask about AltaPoint being CCHIT certified and
then sent us out to the Allsource web site. Yet when we go to the
Allsource site there is nothing about Allsource being CCHIT certified
nor is there any information about what requirements an EHR system
must have to qualify for any reimbursements from the stimulus package.

You are probably one of those people who are telling the providers
that MEDICARE is going to require EHR systems by 2011 also, aren't
you?

In all of the digging I have done, the HHS has NOT defined what the
"certification" requirements are, nor have they defined the
"meaningful use" criteria as stipulated in the law.

In other words, the stimulus money is not available FOR ANY PACKAGE
until they define "certification" or "meaningful use.

You really should get a better sales pitch.
