Last night as was leaving the Royal Russell School at around 1045pm, Tony Roberts and saw some Noctilucent Cloud low down in the South West sky. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures.

However at 2.45 am I looked out of my window  and saw some clouds and took an image with my new DSLR Canon EOS 1300D. This is my first DSLR, although I did own an Olympus OM1 many years ago.

Well done Paul.  Do they appear in any particular direction, eg with the rising sun behind them?

Thanks. If they appear at sunset then you can see them in the South West and at sunrise in the North East.

If they appear it's usualy an hour to an hour and half before sunset and hour before sunrise.

You may have noticed blurring in the picture. Have not quite mastered astrophotography with my new camera. I am more used to robotic telescopes or a bridge camera.
