I looked around the forum a bit and did not find anything on this.
Ordered my kit a few weeks ago and started putting it together yesterday.
For the most part all is good until i got to the case assembly and mating the two boards.

How in the world is everyone doing this??
The USB cable is so stiff and stick straight out, does not easily allow the boards to get close enough to each other.
You can see anything behind the black plexi
Tried using my finger to align from the front, no luck and bent a bunch of my LED leads that need to go back an straighten.

Thinking of taking the USB off and just running it out the expansion bus hole
or
Taking the brackets out of the case putting everying together and remounting the brackets in the case with self-tapping screws.

Any. insight would be apprciated.

Post some photos, I'm not really visualizing what is happening.  I have assembled at least 100 of these, and never really had a problem.  I'd like to see if everything is attached properly.

Will do -
As I put the clear backing plate on with the USB/Power/Audio/VGA connections all attached, the USB cable and connection does not really allow me to sandwich the boards together allowing the 14 pins on the card to connection to the 14 pins on the main board.
As mentioned in the instructions - this might be the difficult step as you cannot see anything.

Try removing the frame and putting them together so you can see how they fit.  That may help understand where everything goes when you later assemble them with the frame in place.

Well, I think I got it.
With my son's help last night working from both sides we found that the USB connector was catching on the side bracket. With a little realighment things appear to have snapped into place.
Until I finish the rest of the project I am not sure i will know if all the pins are seated, it does power up via the AUX board but I don't know if it using the 14pin header for power or the six pin cable.

The barrel power connector uses the 14-pin header.
