Ebay i could only find the straight pins version not the 90.

Yeah, sometimes Amazon's search AI reads your mind, and other times it acts like a 3 year old on speed.

I searched for "right angle ribbon cable connector", and then narrowed it down to the 2x13 version.

This search will turn up the connector and some ribbon cables: amazon link

i finally got around to installing that tonight and getting it working.

Just use the right search terms. Here's a good example: "26 pin male header 2.54 angle". You'll find several on eBay with that search.

what is the search to find the proper female version with the key and not just a flat connector?

one issue is I'm not signing up for multiple accounts with different vendors. Every where i go for the usual is telling me out of stock or the listed was deleted.

fakes, on ebay, yadda yadda. In general it has become a real pain to get things obviously covid had its effect however amazon has really been getting horrible the last 2 years.

much like the car industry "enshitification" is happening all over.

Just use the manufacturer's number,

SBH11-PBPC-D13-RA-BK

That way you know you're getting the right part.

That's because there aren't any 26 pin keyed female connectors on eBay or Amazon.

BTW, SBH11-PBPC-D13-RA-BK is the male connector. SFH11-PBPC-D13-ST-BK is the female connector.

You can use an unkeyed connector, you just have to be really careful when inserting the card. Otherwise Digikey is your only source right now.

all have them in stock. I had no trouble finding them when I searched for the part number.

different places experiencing different shortages. just frustrating something that should take a few days is now a few months if your lucky.
