I really like the flat toggle switches, and I really like the original 8800 faceplate (plus the 8800b faceplate is very labor intensive to make) so I came up with a compromise:

Hi, 

I've been thinking about that myself ... I replaced some of the momentary switches on one machine as they seemed to be faulting, but was thinking of replacing them with flat toggle switches just to be a little different.   

I hardly touch the switches anymore, and if the Altair-Duino could access emulated drives on a PC via the USB port, I'd never have to touch the switches at all.
