Looks good!  I didn't know MITS made a marketing decision to slow down the 6800.

Marketing decisions  - phooey! IBM pulled the same trick with the PCjr. They didn't want it to cannibalize PC sales so they dumbed it down.
Before that, they didn't want the PC to cannibalize sales of the larger IBMs so they intentionally dumbed that down.
It doesn't surprise me that MITS did the same.

Looks great Chris! Can't wait to order one.

After I saw Mike Douglas' video on VTL with the 680, I thought it would be cool to have VTL in the rom.

Looks great! Must have been an interesting system to own back-in-the-day. Wonder how it was perceived: as a cheaper Altair 8800? As the next generation? As a weird step-child?
