Any chance I could purchase an Altair clone in Mike Douglas's case?

Hi All,

I'm a high school / community college teacher who is using the Altair 8800 as the machine for a computer systems class.

I have one of Mike Douglas's Altair clones, and I am looking for another.  I spoke with Mike and he suggested that now that he is no longer making the clones, that a version in his case design may be forthcoming from here.

I purchased an Altair-Duino kit and has a student try to assemble it.  He got it *mostly* right, but it is not in the kind of order I would need for classroom use.

I'm looking at this for educational classroom use, not as a hobby project.  I don't want to build it, I would very much like to purchase an assembled, working machine like I did previously from Mike.

Please let me know if that might be possible.

Yes, the Altair-Duino Pro will be available in the new full size case in October.  I will have some assembled available.

For us that bought only the case, will be the kit also be available to buy alone?

Yes, but I hope to have all that available by the time the cases get here.

Do you want another Altair Clone or an Altair Duino. They're not the same thing. The Clone is all on one board and the Duino has an add-on Arduino Duo board.
While most software runs on both, each has different features unique to itself as far as floppy drives, updating, etc. go.
