Hi,

I gave up and went back to the original FabGL ANSI terminal too.  Since I only ran the uploaded demo programs anyway, it doesn't matter.

I'd rather see an 8080 CPU compatible game that can run on any 8080 computer that uses graphics for a carnival like shoot the moving targets game.  My idea is that the user would use FL & FR for moving the front rifle sight left and right, then RL and RR for moving the rear rifle sight left and right, then FU and FD to move the front sight up 'n down and finally, the spacebar to shoot.  The targets would be three or four rows of little moving targets that slowly slide across the screen at speed 0 and very fast (more points) at speed 10 (S=0 to S=10) ... IF the gun is not moved within 10-seconds  (maximum delay ... user set Delay from 0 to 10) the user loses a point, so that they need to be constantly moving their sights around to hold their score.

Ideally, the targets would be little ducks and targets, but I"m sure with ASCII graphics something could be created.

I first got the idea for the DAZZLER using the FELIX stuff ... but the DAZZLER development seems dead too ... although there maybe a new DAZZLER for S-100 computers by next year ... it's still an idea being tossed around.

Anyway, we need new 8080 and/or Z80 programs to play with.  I've added a few to my "The Lost Altair Software Library" online.  I'm always looking for more sofware to add to the reposiory.

its been months since i had time to play around with my Altair 8800.
over the last few weeks i finally have a new working desk setup that allows me easy access
to the machine so i can play around.

last year i had patched my ANSI Terminal with eightbitwide's patch which added
the ability to change the resolution and fonts using Escape commands.

everything seemed fine all my programs were working and my graphical development was also
fine.

i finally had a change to hookup my wifi modem to my altair and started going back to BBS over IP
what i noticed was the splash screens for the BBS didn't look like i remembered.

lucky back in 2022 i took a picture of my first BBS adventure with the VGA32/ESP32 Ansi terminal
and sure enough the image was not right.

after messing around for hours i reflashed my ESP32 with the original FABGL ANSI Terminal and the
BBS screens graphics all looked correct. I went back and reflashed with eightbitwide's forked version
and the BBS screens graphics were messed up.

now it appeared eightbitwide's version has introduced a bug. i got lucky and noticed it.
not many people are messing around with colored graphics escape codes.

so something to look for. you may want to revert your FABGL ANSI Terminal to the original.
you lose a little with accessing font and graphics modes via escape codes.

eightbitwide does not have discussions enabled on his github so i could not post about this issue
figured i would give a heads up about it.

for now i'm running the original ANSI terminal without modifications.
