I've just finished building my kit and everything seems to be working properly.  However, when connecting my VGA monitor it looked like it was working fine for a second and then the text started jumping around with a color shift.  Is this just a compatibility issue with my monitor? This is the only monitor I have with a VGA input at the moment.  Is there something else that could be causing this?

Your video is marked private and I can't play it. It could be compatibility, or it could be a faulty connection.

Sounds like a faulty connection.

Sorry about that, the video should be fixed.  The cable is seated as far as it will go.  Might be a bad solder joint?  I plan to add the wifi module this weekend, I will check my connections then and report back.

Check your solder connections on the PIC32, the jumper pins, the 220 ohm resistor, and the VGA connector.  Try the jumper on a different monitor color and see if that makes a difference.  If it does, then look for bad solder joints on the pin headers or VGA connector.

Well I've completely disassembled the Altair and re-soldered all of the joints on the vt-100 card.  I re-seated the PIC32 and still had the exact same problem.  Color choice didn't matter.  I was able to dig an old monitor out of my storage space that I was sure was DVI only and it had a beautiful D-SUB port right there.  Lo and behold, it was the monitor the whole time.  Thank you all for your help, I do appreciate it.
