Hi all!

I built up my Altair-Duino kit in 2019 and I am enjoying it since then. Thanks to everyone involved in creating this!

I recently looked for new software and noticed that the DISKDIR.TXT contained in the current SD card image lacks entries for some of the images. The following two images have not changed since 2019, so the old description should still hold:

* DISK13.DSK
10011) DISK13.DSK: CP/M 2.2b (modern version)

* DISK14.DSK
10100) DISK14.DSK: ALTAIR Mini-Disk DOS Fortran
(not bootable - mount in drive 1)

However, I cannot find any information on the following three images:

* DISK15.DSK

When booting, it shows:

63K CP/M
Version 2.2mits (07/28/80)
Copyright 1980 by Burcon Inc.

A: WRITER   COM : CHESS    COM

* DISK16.DSK

When booting it on my system, it shows:

This version of CP/M requires CUTER for VDM-1 to be present at C000h.

* DISK17.DSK

Booting it shows:

63K CP/M

This also does not seem to match the disk collection in David Hansel's repository. Is there any information out there on the contents and source of these images?

Thanks!
Michael

CP/M 2 2 disk with the usual Cromemco Dazzler demos and games.

* DISK16.DSK

When booting it on my system, it shows:

This version of CP/M requires CUTER for VDM-1 to be present at C000h.

Uses a VDM-1 as console, but this requires a CUTER ROM for the video driver,
to large to fit into a BIOS.

* DISK17.DSK

Booting it shows:

63K CP/M
Version 2.2mits (07/28/80)

This looks like someone ported IMP to the system, IMP is a communication
program like kermit, QT and so on. And you might want to read README.TXT
 and FILES.TXT ;-)

Thanks Udo.

I just noticed that DISK11.DSK and DISK16.DSK, as well as DISK12.DSK and DISK17.DSK are absolutely (byte for byte) identical. However, DISK10.DSK ("Dazzler programs (boots CP/M)") and DISK15.DSK are somewhat different. Maybe just two different collections of Cromemco software.

Michael,

You officially now know more than anyone about the structure of the SD card!  I'm sure those are just extra disk images that popped in over the years.  There is nothing special or "secret" about them. They're just copies of other disk images or images I did not yet try.
