DEPOSIT Weirdness

On my new Altair Pro I can't deposit into the first 200 locations or so. When I raise deposit, the data lights all go out no matter what the data switches are set to. I can deposit and deposit next into higher locations just fine.
Also, if I deposit into a higher location then I can deposit into a lower location (never less than location 15 or so) properly.

Does anyone else have a problem with this or know what might be happening?

That's very weird.  It does not seem like a hardware issue, since you can deposit into lower memory locations after depositing into a higher location.

I would try booting without a memory card (just to be sure some strange configuration isn't loading).  If that doesn't work, I'd try reflashing the Arduino.

OK, I tried reflashing the Arduino. No change. I did a continuity test on the switch. It's functioning correctly. The next step is to swap in a known good Arduino from another Pro I have and see if the problem follows.
If it does, can I exchange the bad Arduino from the Pro I just bought for a good one?

Sure I can do that, but I will be really surprised if it's the Arduino.  Did you try booting without an SD card inserted?

Not yet. I did swap the Arduino, though. As you suspected, no change.

You are a genius! I just removed the SD card (with the original Arduino in place) and Deposit worked normally. Then I replaced the SD card.
Deposit still works. Huh? What might the problem have been?

Since I have your ear, here's another question: On the older Altair expansion board, there was a power jumper to allow daisy-chained expansion boards to run off the regulator
rather than the Arduino's power. On version 2.5.2 of the expansion board included with the Pro, there doesn't appear to be a jumper for that.
The daisy-chained board works fine on Arduino power but I'd like to switch it to regulator power. Am I just not seeing the jumper or is there another way to switch the daisy-chained
expansion board?

It sounded like something weird was loading with the default configuration.

The new board do not have the jumper to enable raw voltage on the bus because there are no cards that use it.  You could just run a jumper from pin 13 on the IO Bus Connector to pin 25 on any expansion card connector.
