Dear Mr Wang,
My name is Herb Moore and I recently corresponded with Professor
Steven Bird in an effort to find some engineers for the startup I am
working on. He suggested that I might find some assistance through the
Australasian Language Technology Association. After seeing that you
are the student representative of ALTA, I recognize that you are a key
player in the development and promotion of this field at the
University. So I though you might be able to assist me.
Recently, I have started a new technology company that is developing a
legal search engine utilizing AI, Computational Linguistics, and NLP.
I am pleased to say that my company has sourced both seed and first
stage funding; the difficulty we now face is how to find and hire the
right people to take our product to the next stage. We are looking for
recent undergrads or PHD student’s (recently dropped out accepted) who
have superb coding abilities and good communication skills. If you or
any of your peers might be interested in such a project, please let me
know.
