Hi all,

Could you please circulate the advertisement for the post-doctoral
position described below to anyone who you know that may be
interested?

Thanks,

Declan

-----------
Researcher for Commercial Projects
-----------

At the Centre for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL), Dublin,
Ireland, we have a job opening for a researcher at post-doctoral level
with an interest in working on commercially-driven machine translation
(MT) projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to work in the area
of (applied) MT research, in particular working on industry-focused
research projects, and may be particularly attractive to those wishing
to broaden their experience and expertise beyond basic research to
more industrially-relevant applications.

The successful applicant will join the well-established, highly-
regarded and dynamic CNGL MT research team at Dublin City University
(DCU) and will have the benefit of interaction and collaboration with
the wider CNGL research teams, including the significant body of
researchers working on other aspects of Language Technology across the
four partner universities (DCU, Trinity College Dublin, University
College Dublin, University of Limerick) at the CNGL.

The successful applicant will be involved with the specification,
design, configuration and evaluation of system components of DCU’s
MATREX MT framework for use in pilot and contract research engagements
with commercial collaborators. The MATREX MT framework is built upon
the open-source Moses toolkit, so ideally applicants will have
experience implementing and developing Moses-based systems. He/She
will have the opportunity to work on both existing projects and to
develop new projects.

This candidate must possess a PhD in multilingual language
technologies, preferably directly related to MT, with research and/or
industrial experience in MT desirable. The position is open to those
coming from both industry and academic backgrounds.
