Around 6:15 this morning I could hear a lively chorus outside. It
sounded like more than one bird, but I couldn't tell. The singing did
not last very long and there has been no chirping since.

Still gone. I tried to go for a walk, but a cold breeze convinced me to
go back inside. My tele-visit went well and I had to go to the lab for
bloodwork again today. Now I have two facemasks.

I saw a Bobcat cross the road ahead of me as I went down the hill, I
pulled over and looked down the canyon to see if I could get a photo
but I couldn't see anything moving down there. It is the first one I
have ever seen.

It was a short fix. I just dreamed that you had posted some colorful
videos of spring green, so I woke up to watch. It's too bad about the
walk, but good news about the tele-visit and the new mask. Going to the
lab so often is an unpleasant routine, maybe you rewarded yourself with
some tasty junk food. A nice snack might be worth the trip. I hope the
report is good.

Seeing a Bobcat is an exciting happening, I've never seen one either. We
have them here and they have been known to take small pets from yards of
people who lack the good sense to watch them. Maybe you'll get another
chance for a photo, hopefully not on a walk. I don't know if they attack
people, I'll have to look that up.

Not green here yet, ecept for the evergreens.

No bad reports yet. When I got to the lab check-in the clerk asked me
the usual questions about name and birth date medicare black lung new
cough work related sore throat etcetera. I can't find you in our
computer Mr. Brower so I repeated my name again slowly and said "Read
my lips" and then I spelled it out for her.

We both had a good laugh behind our masks.

Seeing one in the daytime is a little worrying, makes me think of
rabies. I guess they are out in the dusk and dawn times too though,
I'll have to look it up, if I have time - being so busy and all all the
time.

Oh, thanks. It was pretty much as I thought. This might be a case where
the Bobcat was only seen by me because of the fact that animals are
venturing out more due to the decrease in human activity.

Our neighborhood Black Bear should be out and about now too.

Betty has brought this to us :
Damn, AIOE sure is flakey. I haven't been able to post except in bursts
when they accept posts. Black Bear can be dangerous, but they usually
are not. Brown Bear are more dangerous but your hear more about Black
Bear attacks because there are so many of them in close proximity to
people.

I've noticed that about AIOE. I think he has his filters set too high.
There have been some spam posts showing up in groups, this one too. I
decided to look at that server and they are not there so you may not
have seen them. That's good, but not if it interferes with legitimate
posts. Also there are posts missing from some groups, but that could be
Giganews.

I did read about bears last year, but all I remember is that you don't
want close contact with them. I forgot if they are diurnal, but if you
see them roaming during the day, I guess they are. I'll look for that
information again. I wouldn't want you to experience an encounter. Do
you have warnings from an official source if there is a problem bear in
your neighborhood?

I used to see stories on the news when one had climbed a telephone pole
and the only way to get it down was a tranquilizer. That's dangerous for
the bear. I don't see any news now, except what I search for. You are in
a forested area where bears live, that makes it more likely to see them.
I know you've seen evidence of one visiting your yard, something a trail
cam could document.

Maybe the camera is what you meant and I misunderstood. Anyway, you were
enjoying flying it and that's what counts, though it would be more

I went to Wiki and read about bears again, as I wondered if they raid
the hives of bee keepers. They do. I thought you had a bee keeping

Our more popular mountain trails stay open year round, but they had to
close the parking lots because some people were starting to party
there. They suggest 'walking distance' parks or trails are better
because of the parking problem.

I don't understand the need to party, especially in a parking lot. But,
if they are so unconcerned about catching the new disease, why not party
in their homes. Far more convenient.
