Good morning FTR. [g]

I don't know if thermometers freeze, I'll have to research that, but
they do register some very cold temperatures ... like subzero. That's
cold! I hope you're keeping warm.

My swallowtail chrysalis still looked normal the last time I checked,
but I haven't been as diligent as last year. It would be exciting to see
a successful outcome and to watch a healthy butterfly emerge. I hope
*you* see lots of butterflies too, maybe a new one that you haven't seen
before. I suppose that if the chrysalises in your area make it through
the winter, mine should also since it's much milder here.

It won't be long before we find out.

I just recorded a short clip of some goldfinches at the feeder at minus
two degrees F. I will send it to you later.
